It's Growing

The first garden I planted is doing well, everything is growing. I can't wait until we get some veggies! Today we are working on our other garden which is a ground level garden. We are doing mostly seeds so we shall see what happens.

Almost Done With Garden #1

Finding organic matter to put in my garden has been a challenge. I ended up buying some humus and peat to put in too. The organic is paying off though i have a ton of birds eating bugs every day in my yard, I love it. Today I'm going to plant peppers, sunflowers, tomatoes, basil, onion and garlic. I can't wait to build another one. Steve said he will build one too and have a competition to see who's does the best, I love that too...

New Raised Bed

Yesterday I built a raised garden bed, it came out okay. This morning after I run I'm going to level it and start filling it with organic waste. I hope to have a few things planted by tomorrow. This bed will contain tomatoes, sunflowers, peppers, basil and garlic maybe onions. I can't wait to have fresh veggies in our yard!
Once this bed is done I will build another and it will have corn, pole beans, squash, pumpkins and potatoes. Then next year I might build some more and have more stuff to eat!

April Showers

Tons of rain is getting annoying but everything is really starting to grow. This summer I want to build a few garden beds and start organic fruit and veggie gardens. I love being able to go into the yard and pick veggies for dinner and it is better for the planet too. I hope as soon as this rain ends I can get the beds together. Then I need to figure out what to plant! Can't wait!
